According to the Commercial Laws of Tunisia March 2013, Tunisia adopts a mixed legal system which focused more on the French civil law system and also influenced by some Islamic law as Tunisia is an Islamic country.

There are several legal issues occurred in Tunisia in the aspect of international, national and workforce. The most concerned international legal issue by the government of Tunisia is the incident of terrorism and is believed that the growth of terrorism occurred since 2011, said by Aalia Allani, 2013.

The urbanization in Tunisia also becomes the major national legal problem faced by Tunisia's government and this has brought some environmental problems. The management of municipal solid waste is the main contribute of this issue. The Tunisian also restricted by some Islamic Law such as government has restricted dress code of Muslim to wear traditional clothing.

For the workforce legal issue, Tunisia also puts in effort to abolish the worst forms of children labour. Hence, some laws and regulations are formulated to protect the child labour (United States Department of Labor's Bureau of International Labor Affairs). According to Tunisia's Labor Code, discriminations are forbidden and women in Tunisia are legally accepted that they have the right to work.
