He wanted to ask a girl to a high school dance. Unfortunately, her name was Kim and he had difficulty saying words with the letter K. He finally got the nerve up to call and ask her, but when her mom answered, he had difficulty asking to speak to Kim. Finally, he got it out and her mom thought he had just forgot her name for a minute and laughed it off and said are you sure you want to speak to Kim? He just went along with her and chuckled and he said yes I am sure. Because he did not want them to think, he was an idiot. He had thought his stutter problem was gone, and then when he was 16 the stuttering all of a sudden came back when he was in class about a legal system and he had to be the prosecutor in a mock murder trial. He had to write and deliver an opening statement.
