On September 2, 1945 the Japanese surrender. They had lost the war because United States drop two atomic bombs. The place where it drops the atomic bombs was Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The total estimate of casualties in Nagasaki was 40,000 people dead and Hiroshima casualties were 20,000 to 100,000 people dead from the atomic blast. When the Japan surrender, all they're military was crippled since they might build up an additional force to expand. Also Japan has to pick four important islands and give the rest to their rightful owner. On 1946 the leader of the Allies, Douglas MacArthur and his advisers draft a new Japanese constitution which the government accept without thinking about it. So on 1947 Japan democratic constitution went into effect. In 1950 the Japan manufacture return to prewar level. Instead of taking a lot of time Japan created machinery to help the worker manufacture. In 1952 the Allies had no longer occupied Japan territory In 1965 to 1980 the manufacture rate has went up 6.7 percent a year. In 1990 Japan signed the Structural Impediments Initiative.
