There are individuals in a society that are divided into names, identities, roles, interests, and statuses. Kinship is one of the universal ways of making and maintaining such groups. This system has three principles which are marriage, residence, and descent. The first step to kinship is marriage because it brings individuals together from different kins and groups. Socially this can be recognized often between families. Residence is when individuals live together from different groups. This is spatial or geographic element of kinship.
